The Essential Study of Yoga

The demand for professionally trained Yoga Teachers is growing. Our 200-hour formal study of yoga is a certified program, for all levels of practice. If you are interested in deepening your knowledge of yoga, or becoming a yoga teacher, the Essential Study of Yoga will reveal for you the ancient, traditional practices and disciplines of yoga. Which helps us reach improved health, increased happiness, and ultimately greater success in all areas of life.
Module I: Ashtanga - The Eight Limbs of Yoga
Module II: Vinyasa – Moving Toward Enlightenment - The Secret Teachings (health, success & happiness)
This 200-hour program, recognized by the Yoga Alliance includes:
- An In-depth Study and Practice of Yoga
- All 4 Chapters of the Yoga Sutra
- 7 Chakras, 3 Nadis, Meridian Theory
- How to Skillfully Teach Yoga Asana
- How to Sequence Postures for Optimal Results
- Anatomy of Both the Physical and the Subtle Bodies

- Teacher/Student Mentor Program
- 20-Yoga Classes at the Studio
- How to Teach with Universal Principals of Alignment, Basic Hatha Yoga I and II, Vinyasa, Short Form Ashtanga, Yin.
- A Weekend Retreat
- Introduction to Sanskirt
- How to Give and Receive Adjustments
- Prenatal Yoga
- How to Confidently Lead Meditations
Fall/Winter Program begins September 2010 thru January 2011.
Meets every Wednesday 7pm-10pm, and three (3) Sundays a month 8am-3pm. Two week break thru Christmas.
Winter/Spring Program begins February 2011 thru June 2011.
Tuition: $2150, includes retreat and course material.
